The Korean Committee for UNICEF announced the launch of the global campaign 'TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW' alongside K-pop’s ever-evolving artists TOMORROW X TOGETHER, aimed at supporting the mental health and well-being of youth worldwide. The announcement was made during a press conference held in Seoul on April 29.
The campaign is part of a global partnership between the band’s label, BIGHIT MUSIC, the Korean Committee for UNICEF, and UNICEF, following an agreement signed at the headquarters in New York last October. The campaign aims to create a safe and inclusive space for youth to freely express their emotions and seek help whenever they are in need.
The campaign film featuring TOMORROW X TOGETHER premiered on this day, delivering a powerful message that collective empathy and care are vital to supporting youth mental health.
The 'TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW' campaign will begin on April 29, with its online platform hosted by the Korean Committee for UNICEF. Visitors are invited to watch the campaign film and participate in an interactive self-assessment survey designed to encourage reflection on their mental well-being.
In June, TOMORROW X TOGETHER will connect with global fans through the 'Hearts Together with TXT: The Listening Room Hearts Together Playlist' on the official YouTube channel of the Korean Committee for UNICEF on https://www.youtube.com/@unicefMedia, where they will read audience submitted stories and offer messages of support.
Regarding their upcoming social contribution activities, the members of TOMORROW X TOGETHER expressed their sincere commitment in the campaign by stating that "We will give our all to contributing to a society where the mental health and well-being of our youth can be nurtured and protected together."
The band’s leader SOOBIN emphasised, "I believe we can build a brighter future together through this campaign." YEONJUN and HUENINGKAI pointed out that it’s okay to feel exhausted even during their most joyful moments, stating "We hope all young people can take the time to reflect on how they’re feeling and remember that it’s always okay to ask for help whenever they need it." BEOMGYU and TAEHYUN also emphasised the courage it takes to speak openly about one's true emotions, stating that "We hope this campaign paves the way for a meaningful change."
Cho Mijin, Executive Director of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, remarked, "The 'TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW' campaign was created to highlight the importance of mental health and encourage greater social support for the mental health and well-being of our youth." She also said, "We are deeply grateful to BIGHIT MUSIC and TOMORROW X TOGETHER for joining us on this meaningful journey. Their heartfelt empathy and attention will offer a warm embrace and hope to youth worldwide."
The campaign funds will be used to support various global youth mental health programs, training for youth mental health professionals, and research and advocacy for mental health. TOMORROW X TOGETHER and BIGHIT MUSIC donated $1.4 million to the campaign and will further engage in additional activities.
