On April 01, 2024, The Academy Australia (“The Academy”) announced the launch of their annual flagship event, The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp, which is set to take place in Seoul, South Korea from December 10, 2024 - December 20, 2024. This special event is a tailored program with a rigorous structure, providing aspiring talents the experience of what it’s like being a K-Pop idol trainee. The Academy recently opened online registrations for applicants worldwide, and it will remain open until the last day of online auditions. For applicants interested in participating in a live audition, online registrations must be filled out at least one day prior to the live audition taking place, which will be based on each respective city. The Academy will be hosting live and online auditions from June 01, 2024 - June 09, 2024 (AEST).
For applicants interested in auditioning for The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp, an online registration form must be completed to submit an online audition and participate in a live (in-person) audition. Along with completing the required information on The Academy’s online registration form, applicants are required to pay a $60 AUD fee via PayPal. Once an online registration form and payment have been submitted, the applicant will receive an invitation to join The Academy’s Facebook Group. Joining The Academy’s Facebook Group provides applicants with an opportunity to connect with fellow 2024 auditionees, a chance to speak with former trainees who have successfully participated in a K-Pop Boot Camp, and access to contacting The Academy’s team and staff members. The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp is now accepting applicants who are 11 years old and older. Applicants who are minors will need parental consent to submit an online audition or participate in a live audition. The Academy’s auditions will be based on auditionees showcasing their dance and/or vocal skills, with a maximum of 1 minute allotted for each skill presentation. Showcasing vocal skills is optional, but any song can be used in the audition, as well as any style of choreography. As a reminder, applicants cannot audition for The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp until they have completely filled out the online registration form and successfully submitted it, along with the required payment of $60 AUD. The Academy's annual flagship event, the K-Pop Boot Camp, is a specially designed program, where the Top 100 trainees can pursue their dreams of becoming a K-Pop artist through immersive vocal and dance training over a 10-day period in Seoul, South Korea. The Academy 2024 K-Pop Boot Camp is an extremely rewarding and challenging program designed to push the limits of talent to new heights and levels. This year’s program curriculum, which was organized in consultation with The Academy’s agency partners, includes nine days of training at the HI Seoul Youth Hostel. The training covers vocal, dance, and make-up sessions, culminating in a special showcase at the end of the week for evaluations. Scouts and partnered agencies attend the showcase, where private auditions are offered for agency-selected trainees. The program also includes a make-up session, a professional photoshoot, a one-day performance with video recording, and a personalized digital feedback form from the trainers. This marks the successful conclusion of the K-Pop Boot Camp.
