K-pop boy group TAN's 'Walking on the Moon' becomes the first K-pop song to go on a space trip in a time capsule.
On December 7 (local time), American media outlet Forbes reported that TAN's 'Walking on the Moon' will be included in the Celestis 'Deep Space Time Capsule,' a pioneer in space flight, that will launch into space on December 24.
This is the first time a K-pop artist's song has been sent into space. This project prepared by Celestis is a meaningful journey that captures the essence of the earth in a time capsule. It includes the DNA and data of about 200 people, including TAN's 'Walking on the Moon.'
Celestis CEO said, “We are delighted to be able to collaborate with TAN’s ‘Walking on the Moon. This song is an important contribution to the space-time capsule.”
Forbes said, “TAN, born from the audition ‘Wild Idol’ that tests musical ability, potential, and even physical ability, stands out the most in the K-pop scene by obtaining unique opportunities such as this space trip. “It was an opportunity to highlight their worldview,” he explained.
Meanwhile, TAN previously released a performance video of 'Walking on the Moon' for fans that echoed throughout the universe. The video received an explosive response from people worldwide and boasted the shining presence of 'global idols.'
