SEVENTEEN released their monumental 5th Studio Album HAPPY BURSTDAY today, marking the milestone of their 10th anniversary.
HAPPY BURSTDAY blends the words ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘burst’ to express the explosive energy of SEVENTEEN’s rebirth, capturing their desire to reinvent themselves as a ‘new SEVENTEEN’ and embrace a fearless new era beyond a decade.
This album contains the most number of brand-new tracks in SEVENTEEN’s discography, featuring 13 solo songs from all members for the first time in their 10-year career, alongside 3 group tracks—including the dance-pop lead single “THUNDER,” the roaring rock-infused opening track “HBD,” and the Pharrell-produced “Bad Influence (Prod. by Pharrell Williams).” The legendary producer Timbaland also joined the creative lineup to elevate the album’s artistic landscape.
SEVENTEEN also dropped the music video for “THUNDER” today, visualising their dynamic rebirth and bold transformation. In the video, the group re-emerges as ‘daredevils’—fearless challengers who enter the Blitz Club, a euphoric space that rewards those who have conquered challenges. Their ambition to constantly reinvent themselves and challenge eternity radiates through the group’s bursting energy, enhanced by their striking visuals and experimental cinematography.
Speaking about their new release, S.COUPS said: “We hope listeners can experience a new side of SEVENTEEN through this album—whether by discovering a different charm or embracing a broader spectrum of our music. We've taken on many challenges over the years, but this album reflects our desire to keep evolving and exploring our potential. With this new chapter, we wish to deliver meaning and value beyond what we’ve shared before, to both our fans and the wider audience.”
Prior to the album drop, SEVENTEEN hosted a three-day pop-up event ‘SEVENTEEN 10TH ANNIVERSARY B-DAY PARTY’ at the heart of Seoul, which culminated with ‘B-DAY PARTY : BURST Stage @Jamsu Bridge’ (hereafter BURST Stage) on May 25, making the group the first K-pop act to perform at the iconic landmark. The event garnered over 350,000 fans and visitors who came to enjoy exhibitions and experiential programs, with 200,000 attendees flocking on the day of the historic performance alone. The performance, live-streamed through HYBE LABELS’ official YouTube channel and Weverse, was viewed across 193 countries on Weverse alone.
The ‘BURST Stage’ immediately reached fever pitch with the surprise premiere of the new lead single “THUNDER” and “HBD” from HAPPY BURSTDAY, as the crowd reacted with thunderous cheers and echoed their anthemic choruses. The 12-song set also featured SEVENTEEN’s signature hits—including “HOT,” “God of Music,” and “VERY NICE,” as well as fan-favourites like “April shower” and “Headliner” Additional elements like the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, dyed in SEVENTEEN’s official colours, golden fireworks, and synchronised water displays enhanced the spectacle, blending Seoul’s natural beauty with cutting-edge production.

Now, on the 10th anniversary of their debut, SEVENTEEN stand once again at the starting line. They are now set out to begin a new journey with the same unrelenting energy—hands still clasped, sweat still visible, and hearts still ablaze.
