NOWZ Ignites the Music Scene with Their Debut Mini Album 'IGNITION'

CUBE Entertainment’s rookie boy group NOWZ has released their 1st Mini Album IGNITION, marking a new beginning that captures the moment of “ignition,” sparking inner passion through five tracks, including the title song “EVERGLOW.”

Embracing the idea that imperfection makes youth even more radiant, NOWZ presents moments of intense emotion and heartfelt energy that deeply resonate with young people of this era.

The title track, “EVERGLOW,” is an alternative rock song that harmonises sharp electric guitar riffs and intense metal sounds. With the message, “Like a flame that continues to burn even in the ashes, we will never fade,” the track reflects NOWZ’s attitude of resilience and determination to never give up, always standing back up.

Led by EL CAPITXN, the main producer behind numerous hit songs, members JINHYUK and SIYUN participated in writing the rap for the album. The music video also portrays a powerful image of youth, depicting a journey in search of hope within a dystopian world.

NOWZ’s 1st Mini Album features a diverse range of genres. Their pre-release single “Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI)” showed the group’s emotional and refreshing charm through a Cinematic Soul Pop style.

The B-side track “Problem Child” conveys the courage to recognise oneself outside of others’ standards and what is considered “right.” It features tight kick, snare, and hi-hat rhythms, an addictive hook, and powerful vocals, leaving a strong impression. “Louder” is a dance pop track filled with energetic synths and bouncy guitar sounds. Meanwhile, “DAY_AND” features a vivacious rhythm and a sentimental, liberating sound. It is NOWZ’s first fan song, carrying a heartfelt message about wanting to be with their fans in everyday life.

Celebrating their first debut anniversary this year, NOWZ recently announced a rebranding and name change. This signals a renewed commitment to redefining their identity as a leading group in the industry. True to the meaning behind their new name, “capturing infinite possibilities in this very moment,” expectations are high for the group to show their boundless charm through their 1st Mini Album IGNITION.

Throughout their journey, NOWZ has demonstrated a powerful presence with outstanding vocal and performance skills that surpass expectations for a rookie group. Singing about the many shades of youth and heading toward a bold transformation, the members of NOWZ are set to leave a striking impression as representatives of 5th generation K-pop with their latest release.
