Girl group XG have released their brand-new single “GALA,” the lead track from their highly anticipated first full-length album arriving January 23, 2026, alongside its striking official music video.

“GALA” is a high-energy, runway-ready anthem that fuses futuristic production with commanding visuals. Driven by distinctive synth textures, danceable house rhythms, and XG’s signature bilingual rap flows, the track reimagines the world of fashion through the group’s unique, genre-bending lens. Opening with a cinematic intro evoking a descent from space, “GALA” builds into a dynamic performance piece that merges fashion, power, and glamour into a defining statement of XG’s creative universe.

The accompanying music video reimagines a high-fashion gala as XG’s own “X GALA,” transforming an iconic celebration of style into their personal stage. The story follows the members awakening from futuristic sleep capsules and descending to Earth, not as guests, but as the main event. Surreal styling, bold direction, and an otherworldly setting blur the boundaries between fantasy and reality, tradition and innovation, elevating “GALA” into a cultural moment that transcends music and fashion.

“GALA” is the first taste of XG’s upcoming, highly anticipated debut album, set for release January 23, 2026. The group announced the album last month during their headlining set at a-nation 2025, one of Japan’s largest summer festivals. During the electrifying performance, they surprised the crowd by revealing plans for their first full album, further fuelling global anticipation. It continues an exciting year of landmark festival moments for XG, after also making history as the only Japanese artists to perform at Coachella 2025, where they headlined the Sahara stage to critical acclaim and global buzz.

XG is a 7-member hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group formed by XGALX consisting of JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA.
