Named as the only K-pop artist on Rolling Stone’s Future 25 of 2026, TWS, K-pop’s champions of youth unveiled an intriguing narrative trailer for their upcoming 5th Mini Album NO TRAGEDY, offering a glimpse into its overarching theme.
Titled ‘OPENING SONNET : star-cross’d lovers,’ the trailer, released on HYBE LABELS Official YouTube Channel, evokes a sense of curiosity for the narrative that will unfold, with its title drawn from the renowned phrase featured in the prologue of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
The video opens on a moment of youthful anticipation. Upon receiving a text confession reading ‘I really like you,’ DOHOON breaks into a bright smile, while KYUNGMIN is seen carefully wrapping a gift, capturing the quiet excitement of first love. As YOUNGJAE traces the phrase ‘star-cross’d lovers’ across the page, the scene lingers in a still, composed atmosphere that subtly hints at an impending shift.
The tone soon darkens when SHINYU and HANJIN appear deep in thought, while JIHOON shows signs of frustration as tension begins to surface. A swan ornament, once facing one another, suddenly shatters, followed by the appearance of a stark warning reading ‘BEWARE THE STAR’S CURSE AGAINST LOVE.’ As the space begins to distort, the boys’ fleeting moments of excitement fracture, leaving a red scratch on HANJIN’s cheek. The trailer closes with a blinding, unidentified light rushing toward him, leaving a narrative unresolved and raising questions about what lies ahead.
In the lead-up to the trailer, TWS steadily built anticipation through a series of concept photo reveals. The ‘LOVE GUIDE’ version approached love through a playful, guidebook-style lens, while the ‘FINAL MOVE’ version captured the emotional highs and lows of stepping into real-life dates, together tracing a natural progression from exploring love to actively pursuing it.
As fans continue to wait for the group’s highly-anticipated comeback, TWS wrapped up their ‘TWS 2ND FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN,’ held over two days from April 8-9, where they connected with approximately 30,000 fans—underscoring their expanding global reach.
NO TRAGEDY will be available on all streaming platforms worldwide at 5 AM ET (6 PM KST) on April 27.
About TWS
TWS (pronounced ‘Two-Us’), consisting of six members SHINYU, DOHOON, YOUNGJAE, HANJIN, JIHOON, and KYUNGMIN is a boy group introduced by PLEDIS Entertainment. The name is an abbreviation of ‘TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US,’ bringing forward the expression ’24/7’ to symbolise their unwavering commitment to being with their listeners around the clock. As K-pop’s champions of youth, TWS guides listeners into their youthful evolution with their unique musical style that channels refreshing, unstoppable energy—dubbed ‘Boyhood Pop.’ Upon their breakout debut, the lead single “plot twist,” from their debut album Sparking Blue, became a long-running hit, charting on the Billboard Global 200 for 8 weeks and topping the annual chart of Korea’s leading streaming platform, Melon. Their five consecutive releases, including their debut album, 2nd mini album SUMMER BEAT!, 1st single “Last Bell,” 3rd mini album TRY WITH US, and 4th mini album play hard, all surpassed half a million sales, cementing their growing popularity in the music scene. The sextet’s remarkable rise was further recognised when the Billboard named them ‘K-Pop’s Rookie of the Month’ last January, and they were featured in the NME 100 as one of the emerging artists for 2025, followed by their selection as the only K-pop act on Rolling Stone’s Future 25 of 2026.
Keep up with TWS
