Jay Park (박재범) and Ty Dolla $ign, two of the most influential R&B names in the game, joined forces for “Mayday” and have released the official music video. Complete with quintessential R&B tropes, including epic choreo sequences, “Mayday” ignites sparks between Jay and his honey-eyed love interest during a night out at the club. In addition to Ty Dolla $ign, the video includes cameos from Jay’s closest friends and collaborators, including Bay Area rapper P-Lo, rising stars Karri and sunkis, Korean rapper Okasian and Jay’s right hand producer, Cha Cha Malone. The infectiously seductive single is from THE ONE YOU WANTED, an R&B album powered by Jay’s talents as an award-winning, R&B virtuoso, which was released in October via MORE VISION.
Jay Park is kicking off his Serenades & Body Rolls World Tour with two sold-out, arena shows in Seoul on May 24 and 25, 2025. With overwhelming demand from the moment ticketing opened, Jay Park is set to further solidify his global influence as he connects with fans across Asia and Oceania on his upcoming tour.
Eight years in the making, THE ONE YOU WANTED is an evolution of Jay’s first R&B album, Everything You Wanted. The predecessor delivered hits, including “All I Wanna Do,” “SOLO” (feat. Hoody), and “DRIVE” (feat. GRAY), that cemented Jay as the R&B king of Korea and a global household name. On THE ONE YOU WANTED, Jay takes inspiration from classic R&B of the 90s and early 2000s, paying homage to the likes of Musiq Soulchild, Maxwell and Jon. B., as well as from his own, two-decade long journey in the limelight. The album featured hip-hop’s power players, Ty Dolla $ign, YG and P-Lo and Korean artists, IU, NINGNING of aespa, NATTY of KISS OF LIFE, CHUNGA HA and HWASA.
