ENHYPEN Drop “Checkmate” Music Video Marking Cinematic Finale To ‘THE SIN’ Series

ENHYPEN have unveiled the music video for “Checkmate,” a b-side track from their record-breaking 8th Mini Album THE SIN : BLISS. Released as a special gift for their global fandom ENGENE to extend their joyful journey through this era, the new video marks a resounding closure to the group’s ‘THE SIN’ series.
The music video deepens a dynamic visual experience, capturing ENHYPEN as they break free from existing bounds to release their explosive energy. Paired with driving industrial beats and a fast-paced techno rhythm, their resolute attitude of creating cracks in the system further highlights their narrative of fearlessly challenging the world in the face of high-stakes crises.
This release caps off the narrative arc of the series built around the motif of “sin,” which began with their 7th Mini Album THE SIN : VANISH and culminated in THE SIN : BLISS. Designed as a fully realised “concept album,” the project seamlessly interlocks lyrics, soundscapes, and multi-lingual narration across its tracks. Notably, the album’s fictional “mystery show” frame was brought to life in four languages, Korean (voiced by actor Park Jeong Min), English, Japanese (voiced by actor Kenjiro Tsuda), and Chinese (voiced by singer Lars Huang), further elevating the immersive storytelling experience for a global audience.
With THE SIN : BLISS, ENHYPEN reached unprecedented career highs across global charts. Securing their first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the album sold over 2.09 million copies worldwide in its first week to mark their fifth double million-seller. Correspondingly on the digital front, lead single “Bloody Paradise” scored new career bests on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.
Following these milestone achievements, ENHYPEN are set to build on their global momentum with their ongoing world tour ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘BLOOD SAGA.’ Starting in Macau this October, the group will expand their global footprint with a major Japanese four-dome tour from December through February 2027, continuing on to stops across Europe to connect with fans worldwide.
