K-pop solo artist KANG DANIEL Releases New Mini Album 'Glow to Haze'

K-pop solo artist Kang Daniel (강다니엘) makes a highly anticipated return with his sixth mini album, Glow to Haze, released today, marking his first new album in nine months.

Crafted like a cinematic narrative, Glow to Haze unfolds across five tracks that portray a spectrum of emotions. The first half captures radiant, vibrant moments through upbeat soundscapes, while the latter half transitions into hazier, more introspective moods. Kang Daniel participated in writing the lyrics for four out of the five tracks, including the title track, showcasing his deepening musicality and nuanced emotional storytelling. The album explores the multidimensional aspects of love, wrapped in a romantic, pink-toned visual aesthetic that signals a fresh side of the artist.

The title track, “Episode,” conveys the thrill of a blossoming romance through a fusion of Latin rhythms and smooth R&B. The performance is a collaboration between the rising dance crew AUSPICIOUS and famed choreographer Choi Young-jun, known for his signature precision. Rather than emphasising flashy individual moves, the choreography focuses on creating a cohesive atmosphere in sync with the music. The accompanying music video, set in a mysterious museum, presents Kang Daniel as a Cupid-like figure gently delivering messages of love.

Track 3, “Love Game,” marks a career milestone as Kang Daniel’s first official venture into songwriting. He not only wrote and composed the track but also participated in its production. The song, which likens the push-and-pull of love to a strategic game, is notable for its emotional piano, layered bass and guitar, and a dynamic arrangement crafted by Kang Daniel himself. It stands as a clear testament to his evolving artistry and broader musical spectrum.

The album’s music videos bring fantasy-inspired storytelling to life, enhancing the overall concept with vivid visual narratives. With this release, Kang Daniel once again proves his ability to reinvent himself, offering fans a top-tier performance experience and a meaningful step forward in his musical journey.
