ITZY Is Back In Full Force With New EP 'Motto'

Global superstars ITZY step back into the spotlight with highly anticipated new EP Motto. Featuring eight new tracks, Motto showcases ITZY in their element in a bold new way, capturing the excitement and energy the group portrays like never before. The EP’s range of sonic dimensions demonstrate the many sides that make ITZY a dominating force in the global music industry.

The new album kicks off with focus track “Motto,” an upbeat, pop track that tackles the concept of devotion and diving into another completely. The track was released along with a fun and playful music video that not only matches the energy of the song, but showcases ITZY as a creative powerhouse. Motto continues with unique track “Glitch,” which serves as a reminder that the things that make us different make us shine even brighter. That track is followed by “you And I, ” which sees the group explore the intense emotions of falling in love. The album then concludes with a solo song from each member, emphasizing their talents not only as a group, but as individuals. Fans first got a taste of these solo songs during the group’s 3RD WORLD TOUR <TUNNEL VISION> live shows that began at the beginning of 2026.

Motto comes on the heels of recently released EP Ice Cream from ITZY’s YUNA. Ice Cream marks the second solo release from an ITZY member, following YEJI’s AIR, which received widespread critical acclaim. Notably, NME ranked its title track among the best K-pop songs of 2025, and the project reached No. 6 on the Billboard U.S. World Albums chart. The release also follows ITZY’s most recent EP TUNNEL VISION, which debuted at No. 4 on the U.S. World Albums chart, marking the group’s second consecutive release to achieve that position, following Girls Will Be Girls. Prior to that, the group released their EP GOLD, which reunited all five members and features fan favorites such as “Imaginary Friend” and “VAY,” featuring Changbin of Stray Kids. In addition, ITZY recently completed the Seoul dates of their 3RD WORLD TOUR <TUNNEL VISION>, performing at Jamsil Indoor Stadium on February 13, 14, and 15. These shows delivered the high-energy presence the group is known for, following their landmark 2ND WORLD TOUR <BORN TO BE>, which brought them to arenas across 28 regions, including Australia, Mexico, England, Japan, and Canada. Consistently demonstrating their reputation as true “stage masters,” ITZY continues to showcase a dynamic mix of hit singles and fan-favorite B-sides tailored for live performance. About ITZY

Formed under K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment in 2019, ITZY exploded onto the K-Pop scene with their debut single “DALLA DALLA.” The track ranked No.3 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and pulled in 17.1 million "day-of" music video views on YouTube. At the time, the song both broke the record for the most viewed K-pop debut music video in history and held the record for the fastest K-Pop debut music video to reach 100 million views. Billboard Magazine ranked “DALLA DALLA” at No.20 on the “25 Best K-pop Songs of 2019: Critics’ Pick” and the group took home the Best New Artist Award at the 2020 Korean Music Awards. ITZY kicked off 2021 with their first national U.S. broadcast appearance on MTV’s Fresh Out Live, racking in the largest performance views MTV had received for the platform. Then, in May, the group made their debut on the Billboard 200 album chart with their six-track EP GUESS WHO, which they followed up with their full-length studio debut, CRAZY IN LOVE. The album took the No.1 spot across multiple Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and World Albums charts, and made a strong debut on Billboard’s Top 200-album chart where it reached No.11, making ITZY only the third female K-pop group to score within the chart’s top 15. The album’s lead single, “LOCO,” which they performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show, reached No.4 Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales. The track’s official music video also made a big splash, crossing one million views within 26 minutes of its release on YouTube, and it was nominated for a 2022 MTV VMA for “Best K-Pop.”

In 2022, ITZY released their fifth mini-album, CHECKMATE. The EP took the No,8 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the group’s first top-10 ranking on the chart. Further, the group became the 4^th K-pop girl group to achieve a top 10 ranking on the Billboard 200. The group performed the EP’s lead single, “SNEAKERS,” on both MTV’s Fresh Out Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show Me Music.” ITZY closed out the year with their sixth EP CHESHIRE and their first world tour, the <CHECKMATE> tour in which the group played eight sold-out venues across the US, including Los Angeles’ YouTube Theater and New York’s Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. In July of 2023, ITZY released their seventh EP KILL MY DOUBT, which features singles “BET ON ME,” “None of My Business,” and fan favorite, “CAKE.” 2024 marked a big year for the group with the release of their eighth EP BORN TO BE which was followed by the group’s <2ND WORLD TOUR BORN TO BE> which visited arenas across 28 areas. The end of 2024 saw the release of their 9th EP GOLD which featured a collaboration with Changbin from Stray Kids. 2025, saw the release of the group’s mini-album GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS and the announcement of 3RD WORLD TOUR <TUNNEL VISION> in SEOUL. The group ended the year with their latest mini-album TUNNEL VISION which debuted at No.4 on the U.S. World Albums chart, marking their second consecutive release to reach that position following GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS.
