BEOMGYU (범규) has dropped his eagerly awaited first solo mixtape “Panic,” with an accompanying music video today.

BEOMGYU’s self-written track "Panic" conveys a powerful message that encourages listeners to emerge from a dark and cold world and forge ahead. The heartfelt lyrics intertwine beautifully with vibrant electric guitar riffs and refreshing, punchy drums, eliciting deep emotional resonance. The soothing melody, paired with his tender vocals, creates an immersive listening experience that profoundly connects with audiences.

"Panic" draws inspiration from BEOMGYU's journey of finding solace through music. Reflecting on the challenging moments when he leaned on music for support, he was motivated to create this heartfelt piece. In collaboration with singer-songwriter Heo Hoe Kyung, he crafted lyrics that reflect his sincere thoughts and emotions. “Panic” is imbued with a relatable narrative that will resonate deeply with today’s youth. The lines such as “Hold tight to my crumbling heart” and “In this damn world / I'll say it out loud and proud” provide a profound sense of comfort and reassurance.

"Panic”'s music video also captures BEOMGYU's musical identity and emotional depth. Within a dark, introspective space, he confronts his fears alone. The melody that resonates in his ears slowly transforms into a seed of hope, gradually illuminating the once-closed space. As he grapples with his yearning for freedom, BEOMGYU advances with unwavering resolve and confidence. The music video vividly conveys the powerful message he aims to share, providing the audience with a sense of clarity and solace.

In regards to the mixtape release, BEOMGYU commented, “I'm truly happy to share a song that wholeheartedly reflects my thoughts. If there are any walls in life that hold us back, I hope this song helps to break them down a little. I hope my music offers a piece of comfort and solace to many.”

BEOMGYU showcases his musical evolution with “Panic.” He embarked on his artistic journey by co-producing the track "Maze in the Mirror" from TOMORROW X TOGETHER's 2nd Mini Album, The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY (2020). He then took on the roles of producer, lyricist, and composer for "Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go" from the 4th Mini Album minisode 2: Thursday's Child (2022). BEOMGYU continuously placed his name within the credits of TOMORROW X TOGETHER's tracks, including "What If I Had Been That Puma" from their 2nd Studio Album, The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE (2021), and "Blue Spring" from their 3rd Studio Album, The Name Chapter: FREEFALL (2023). He has also shared many covers of songs with lyrical melodies, which not only highlight a different emotional depth from his work with the group but also demonstrate his versatility as an artist.
