AtHeart Releases “3!4!,” a Fresh Reimaging of Roo’Ra’s Iconic 1996 Hit

Rising K-pop group AtHeart has released “3!4!”, the second single from their global remake series, TIME TRAVEL PROJECT.

Originally released by Korean group Roo’Ra in 1996, “3!4!” became one of the era’s defining hits. AtHeart reimagines the track through the group’s own musical identity while preserving the bright energy and New Jack Swing foundation that made the original so memorable.

Adding a meaningful connection between the two versions, Lee Hyun Do, one of the original songwriters, participated in the new arrangement.

AtHeart’s version replaces the ukulele heard in the original intro with warm electric piano and delicate guitar arpeggios, creating a softer and more melodic atmosphere while maintaining the song’s upbeat spirit. The group’s seven members, Michi, Arin, Katelyn, Bome, Seohyeon, Aurora and Nahyun, each bring their distinct vocal colors to the track.

Blending the nostalgia of 1996 with a contemporary 2026 sound, “3!4!” introduces the classic to a new generation while offering longtime listeners a fresh take on a familiar favourite.

The accompanying music video brings that same collision of eras to life visually, with AtHeart embracing styling inspired by the late 1990s and early 2000s. While previous releases have highlighted the group’s more powerful and performance-driven side, “3!4!” showcases a brighter, playful energy.

TIME TRAVEL PROJECT is AtHeart’s global remake series centered around songs originally released in 1996. Through the project, the group steps into the role of musical “time travellers,” revisiting influential songs from three decades ago and introducing them to today’s listeners through AtHeart’s own sound and perspective.

The series launched earlier this summer with “Say It,” which reimagined The Cardigans’ 1996 international hit “Lovefool.” With “3!4!,” AtHeart continues to expand the concept by turning to one of Korea’s most recognisable songs from the same year.
