The end of 2023 will be hot as ThornApple announces 'Bulgugyeong' December concert dates

Rosa Gulliver of TINYGMUSIC | 13th November 2023

The band Thornapple will hold a grand concert called 'Bulgugyeong' which translates to 'Fire Watching.'

The term 'fire watching' originates from the stage setup where the audience surrounds the band, creating a resemblance to watching the fire. This concert, which not only features a unique stage setup but also embraces experimentation, is a representative brand concert of Thornapple which debuted in 2016 and is now celebrating its 8th year.

On the 3rd, Thornapple's official SNS released a teaser video showcasing the excitement of the upcoming 2023 'Fire Watching' concert. Then, on the afternoon of the 7th, the news of ticket sales opening was announced, accompanied by a captivating poster image, which sparked great interest among fans. In particular, thanks to the sold-out success of the previous concert, which was held for three days, a total of six performances were announced within two weeks, showcasing the immense popularity and influence of the brand concert.

In August, Thornapple released their new EP 'Animal' for the first time in over four years, following their third full-length album 'Enlightenment.' They have been actively engaged in various activities in Korea, including their participation in the 2023 Let's Rock Festival, MU:CON 2023, and Grand Mint Festival, 2023. In addition, they performed at the La Rue Music & Arts Festival on the island of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and have continued their music activities abroad. In addition, since this concert is a solo performance following the national tour 'Animals' held from September to October, it will be interesting to see if the same level of enthusiasm will be maintained. Thornapple will also be included in the lineup for Countdown Fantasy 2023, scheduled to take place from December 30 to 31 and remain active until the end of the year.

The agency, MPMG Music, expressed their confidence by saying, "It will be a performance that is different from the previous performances while continuing the excitement of the past performances."

Meanwhile, ticket reservations will open on Tuesday, November 14th at 7 PM on Interpark Tickets.
