BTS' J-Hope to Perform at LE GALA DES PIÈCES JUANES in Paris in January 2025

BTS' J-Hope is set to perform at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes at La Défense Arena in Paris, France, on January 23 (local time). The announcement follows the unveiling of his first solo world tour.

 

Led by France's First Lady Brigitte Macron, the charity event is hosted by the Opération Pièces Jaunes foundation and aims to raise funds for hospitalised children and teenagers. With a history of high-profile performances and successful fundraising efforts, Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes has been regarded as one of the most esteemed charitable events in the country. 



Along with the announcement made on France 2, a teaser featuring a star-studded line-up was revealed. This year, j-hope will perform alongside other iconic superstars, including Katy Perry, John Legend, J Balvin, and more. The performances will be broadcast on France 2 on January 28 (local time). This marks J-Hope's solo European TV performance debut, signalling his continuous evolution as a global icon.


The announcement comes on the heels of the unveiling of J-Hope’s first solo world tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE,’ which will feature a total of 31 shows in 15 cities across the world, including New York, Seoul, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Osaka, and more. 


The North American leg of the tour will make stops in 6 cities, with the grand finale being J-Hope’s highly-anticipated solo stadium debut at the iconic BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. The milestone event will make him the first South Korean solo artist to ever headline a stadium show in the United States. The announcement drew significant media attention, highlighting the immense excitement surrounding his upcoming solo endeavours.  

 

About J-Hope


J-Hope (Jeong Hoseok) is a South Korean rapper, dancer, songwriter, music producer and member of 21st century pop icons, BTS. Known as the ‘lead dancer’ of the group, J-Hope boasts his performance skills that are nearly perfect. His originality in music as an artist also comes from the fact that he learned music through dance. J-Hope has been participating in making music such as “Intro : Boy Meets Evil” and “MAMA” in WINGS, and his solo works.  J-Hope’s first mixtape Hope World (March 2018) expressed his honest emotions and personal narratives, suggesting his vision as an artist. Globally-famed “Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)” released in 2019 showcased his own musical personality with exhilarating energy and performance. J-Hope also validated his capability as a creative director by leading all aspects—from music to concept and visual elements—of his solo album, Jack In The Box (July 2022), which addresses his passion and agony he goes through as an artist. In 2022, J-Hope made history as the first South Korean act to headline a main stage at Lollapalooza. J-Hope released a special album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 alongside docuseries ‘HOPE ON THE STREET’ in March 2024. He is set to embark on his highly-anticipated first solo world tour ‘J-Hope Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE’ starting in February 2025.
