Billboard Music Awards 2021 Red Carpet Looks

The Billboard Music Awards always brings out some of the biggest names in music. As the U.S. continues to open up, awards shows seem to be working towards "business as usual." Whilst the celebrities kept a respectful, six feet-ish distance from others, it was good to see crowds, albeit masked, and the return of an actual red carpet.

Celebs rocked ruffles, sexy suits, and glam gowns for music's big night on 23rd May. It was a spectacular red carpet from Gabrielle Union’s stunning white embellished Prada dress to BTS’s coordinated and of course, dance-friendly suits. This was their first-ever performance of their latest record-breaking single ‘Butter.'

The best-dressed star of the night? The ‘Bring It On' actress wore a show-stopping sequin embellished low-cut white Prada gown, simple, but eye-catching, paired with a top-handle bag and sandals, also Prada. Gabrielle added gorgeous earrings and even more diamond-studded jewels from Bulgari with a diamond tennis bracelet to lots of layered rings, all adding to the sparkle.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

The celebrity power couple were dressed to the nines on the red carpet. Presenter Priyanka wore a stunning, embellished gold crystal mesh Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring a plunging neckline, thigh-high slit, and gold harness belt. The star completed the look off with some complimentary gold ankle-strap sandals and gorgeous drop earrings, and almost 40 carats worth of Bulgari jewels.

Nick, host, and performer at this year’s Billboard Music Awards colour coordinate in his three-piece green Fendi outfit, paired with black boots. The musician rocked an emerald green jacket and trouser combo with a lighter green dress shirt from Fendi for the occasion and added a black T-shirt and boots to the mix for a cool and unexpected look on the red carpet. The Fendi ensemble stood out on the red carpet.

The ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ singer was another attendee who picked a larger than life, statement outfit. For Keys, it was a hot pink three-piece Valentino number comprising a crop top, high-waist trousers, and a dramatic coat complete with a voluminous billowing train.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly

They provide the crowd with a head-turning look. The actress Meghan Fox goes ultra-sexy in a risqué Mugler cut-out design strategically placed Mugler number. With a halter neckline, entirely sheer ruched midi skirt, and Jimmy Choo pumps, Megan stole the spotlight. Machine Gun Kelly nominated for Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Album, and Top Rock Song wears a deconstructed Balmain tuxedo with an unbuttoned and untucked shirt.

H.E.R.

Nominated for Top R&B Song. H.E.R. looked amazing in this phenomenal red hot Christian Dior jumpsuit. Featuring red and black sequins with her signature shades, paired perfectly with her black peep-toe pumps and red lips.

Icon Award recipient and performer Pink, arrives for her big night. Pink most definitely looked pretty in pink at the Billboard Music Awards in a bubble gum pink draped pleated gown featuring a plunging neckline, cut-outs, and a bow detail at the waist. Pink accessorized her outfit with matching stunning drop earrings with pink stones and diamonds and rings by Anabela Chan.

The Weeknd

Nominated for Top Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top Radio Song, and more. The award-winning singer kept it classic with a dark Bottega Veneta coat which he paired with a shirt, tie, trousers, and dress shoes for a very polished look. This outfit was far removed from the red suits that he had worn at previous award ceremonies.

Nominated for Top New Artist, Top Country Artist, Top Country Female Artist, Top Country Album, Top Radio Song, and more. Gabby wore a Nicolas Jebran high-shine golden coloured gown that included both a one-shouldered silhouette that flowed into an over-the-top train in the back and a front that had an asymmetrical hemline with a slit. Two-toned Stuart Weitzman sandals completed the outfit.

Kehlani

Nominated for Top R&B Album, wears Tony Ward Couture. No colour makes quite a statement as red. The singer got the memo as she stunned in a complex, lipstick red outfit. It featured puffed, long sleeves, a sparkling bralette, and a fitted skirt with subtle see-through panels down the sides. A Bulgari serpent necklace and ring were the finishing accessories.

DJ Khaled

The “Wild Thoughts” musician gave off major summer vibes.DJ in DG! DJ Khaled arrived in this cool and casual Dolce & Gabbana getup. Comprising of a polka dot collared shirt with yellow, green, and orange embellishments plus black pants and yellow sneakers with green laces.

The ‘Kiss Me More’ singer wore a funky Balmain two-piece outfit that seriously channeled ‘Beetlejuice’ with its black and white striped high-waisted flared pants & halter-style crop top. She maintained the fun theme going with graphic eyeliner and bold earrings from D'heygere. They included authentic mini fan palms and Venus flytraps designed by botanical artist Kristen Alpaugh.

The South Korean group, which won four Billboard Music Awards, beamed into the ceremony from their home country to perform their new track ‘Butter.’ The seven members wore sleek, black suits that complimented each other.
